Organisers behind Loch Ness Marathon, Etape Loch Ness & Inverness Half Rebrands to Caledonian Group Events

One of Scotland's leading mass participation event organisers, Caledonian Concepts – the team behind the iconic Loch Ness Marathon, Etape Loch Ness, and Inverness Half Marathon – today announces it is rebranding as Caledonian Group Events (CGE), marking an exciting new chapter for the organisation.

The company’s new name, Caledonian Group Events, reflects the breadth of the organisation's activities, its growing ambitions, and commitment to delivering mass participation events that inspire people to get active and discover the best of Scotland.

It comes after London Marathon Events’ (LME) 2024 acquisition of the company, alongside Loch Ness Marathon Ltd – organisers of the Loch Ness Marathon, Etape Loch Ness, Inverness Half Marathon and other events in Inverness and the Loch Ness area.

The new brand is intended to strengthen the delivery, reach and future development of CGE’s events, while retaining the local expertise, passion and Scottish identity that have been central to the organisation since it began in 2006.

2027 Loch Ness Marathon Entries Open

The rebrand to CGE follows another hugely successful sold-out Loch Ness Marathon, which once again broke records to welcome more than 11,100 participants to the Highlands last weekend.

Entries are now open for the 2027 Loch Ness Marathon, taking place on Sunday 26 September 2027, and people can enter here.

Malcolm Sutherland, CEO at Caledonian Group Events, said:

"This rebrand marks an exciting milestone at Caledonian Group Events. While our name is changing, our commitment remains the same: delivering unforgettable events that showcase the very best of Scotland and create extraordinary experiences for our participants, communities and partners.

"The success of the 2026 Loch Ness Marathon last weekend demonstrates the enduring appeal of our events and the dedication of our team, volunteers and supporters. As Caledonian Group Events, we're looking forward to building on that success and continuing to grow our portfolio for many years to come, with the support of the team at London Marathon Events.”
