Inverness 5K FAQs
Entry & Registration
You can enter the Inverness 5K via our registration platform, Let's Do This.
Entries cannot be deferred, transferred, or refunded. Please see our General Conditions of Entry for full details.
Entries cannot be transferred to another participant or event. If you'd like to take part in another event, you can sign up online here. Important: Do not swap bib numbers. This creates safety risks and timing issues, and anyone found doing so will be disqualified.
You can update your details via the Manage Your Entry link in your confirmation email or by logging into Let's Do This. Your details will be locked in from 14 February 2027.
There may be a limited number of entries available on the day, subject to capacity. Please check the website or social media channels before travelling.
There is no minimum age for the 5K. Children aged 8 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult.
UK participants: Packs are posted in late February.
Overseas participants: Collect from the Sports Hall, Inverness Leisure (09:45–10:30 on event day).
If your pack hasn't arrived, please contact us and we'll issue a replacement.
Group entries: Packs will be collected and distributed by your team leader.
No, your pack (including bib and chip) will be posted to you. An Info Desk will be available in the Sports Hall from 09:30 on Sunday.
Group entries: Packs are collected by your team leader.
Discounted group entries are available for schools, youth clubs and disability groups.

Event Details
Your entry includes a finisher's medal, event giveaway, chip-timed results, a downloadable certificate and water at the finish.
The 5K starts at 11:45 on Sunday 14 March 2027 at Bught Road (IV3 5SS).
All participants should be in the start area by 11:20.
Yes, you can run for any charity of your choice or support one of our official charity partners.

On the course
Yes, baggage drop is available at Inverness Leisure from 09:30–10:45. Please attach your baggage label securely to your bag.
Yes. Separate entries are required for both the adult and child to ensure safety and provide medals and giveaways.
Yes. Manual wheelchairs are permitted (motorised and racing wheelchairs are not permitted).
Participants requiring assistance can request a complimentary place for a support runner. Please contact us for details.
Yes, if required due to a medical condition or disability. Support runners can apply for a complimentary place. Please contact us for details.
Only bone conduction headphones are permitted. Standard headphones or earbuds are not allowed.
No. Cyclists are not permitted on the route for safety reasons.
No dogs are allowed on the route.
Assistance dogs only are permitted within Inverness Sports Centre and Queen's Park Stadium.
Spectators & Travel
Limited parking is available at Inverness Leisure and Highland Council car parks.
Please:
- Use marked bays only (charges apply).
- Allow extra time, as parking near Inverness Leisure will be very busy.
- Consider parking further away and walking, or car sharing.
- Do not park at Inverness Ice Centre (private property).
- Do not park on streets forming the event route, as vehicles may be removed.

The final miles through Inverness offer excellent viewing opportunities. Spectators are also welcome at Inverness Sports Centre for the finish.
Please note: Infirmary Bridge is closed to pedestrians and cyclists from 10:30–15:30.

Items are held for two weeks after the event.
Please email us with a description of your item and where it was lost. Any found items should be handed in at the Info Point in the Sports Hall.
Results are initially provisional, with official results confirmed within 3–5 working days and submitted to RunBritain and Power of 10.
